The subsidy is available only for residential households that install rooftop solar systems for domestic electricity use. Commercial and industrial properties are not eligible.
The solar system must use DCR solar panels listed under the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM). These panels are verified before the subsidy is released.
Only on-grid rooftop solar systems connected to the electricity network qualify for the subsidy. Off-grid solar systems are not eligible.
You need to have an electricity connection with an MNRE-approved DISCOM. Only consumers of eligible Electricity Distribution Companies (DISCOMs) can claim the rooftop solar subsidy.
